Community Access/Participation

AAP Community Services’ Community Participation Program assists people with a disability to develop the skills they need to work towards their goals, increase independence and participate as active members of the community.

They offer small group activities as well as 1:1 support in both Centre and community-based settings. Creating new opportunities for learning, developing skills and exploring new experiences.

Community Participation Programs focus on fun educational programs that help an individual to expand social networks, gain life skills, maintain and improve physical fitness and overall health and well being.

A variety of programs are offered to participants to choose from during the day, evening or on weekends. Activities can be tailored to the individual’s needs and interests.

Programs can include:

  • Life skills development
  • Sporting activities
  • Arts & Craft
  • Animal interaction
  • Health and well being
  • Recreation and leisure activities
